Groups Recover Together is actively hiring for NP jobs (Advanced Practice Nurses / Nurse Practitioners) with Autonomous Practice to join our team as a 1099 Provider in our Roanoke location!

Offering $100 an hour
Minimum 5 hours weekly based on availability (M–F; evenings included)

Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Practice Nurse (1099):

  • Assist in conducting intakes after members complete evaluations with counseling staff.
  • Monitor clinical progress at regular group sessions led by specialized counselors.
  • Manage medication dosing and authorize prescriptions during monthly patient visits.
  • Complete notes and reporting in our EMR system within the required timeline (orientation and training provided).
  • Follow strict, tech-driven clinical protocols allowing providers to focus on medical management.

Qualifications

To be considered for our NP jobs, candidates must have:

  • An active, unencumbered NP/APRN license with Autonomous Practice in Virginia.
  • An active DEA registration with a Virginia address.
  • A DEAX designation or proof of required SAMHSA training (MAT/SUD experience preferred).
  • Active board certification (any specialty).
  • Availability to work at least 5 hours per week in-office at one of our Virginia locations.

Experience
Active, Unencumbered State License with Autonomous Practice (NP/APRN) in Virginia. Active, Individual DEA with address listed in Virginia. DEAX designation as formerly required to prescribe Buprenorphine or proof of 8hrs of qualified training as assigned by SAMHSA will be required (experience prescribing in the MAT/SUD space preferred; in-direct/relative experience considered). Proof of Active Board Certification (NP/ APRN; any specialty) Ability to work in-office at one of our Virginia locations with available hours at least 5hrs per week.

Job Details
Assist in conducting intakes. Providers see patients after they have already undergone an extensive evaluation by the counselor. Monitor patients' clinical progress at regular group counseling sessions. Groups are run by specialized counseling staff; providers participate by answering questions and managing patients’ medication dosing. Authorize patients' prescriptions during monthly visits with patient panels. Complete all notes and reporting in Groups EMR system within required timeline (providers receive full orientation/ training on Clinical Protocols before eligible to begin work with Groups)
