What You’ll Do:
Deliver essential patient care during the critical startup phase of new correctional healthcare contracts, including assessments, treatments, and emergency response.
Support new team members by modeling best practices in correctional healthcare and introducing them to MEDIKO’s clinical standards.
Collaborate with site and corporate leadership to ensure readiness and clinical compliance.
Educate and onboard newly hired staff on clinical protocols, documentation systems (COREMR), and workflow best practices.
Assist with managing offsite referrals, tracking care plans, and coordinating continuity of care.
Travel to various MEDIKO sites to provide mentorship, fill coverage gaps, and stabilize post-launch clinical operations.
What We’re Looking For:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active license in applicable states
Previous experience in correctional healthcare strongly preferred
COREMR (EHR) experience required
Background in launching new clinical sites or similar high-paced environments is a plus
CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross approved)
At least 1 year of nursing experience in acute care, ER, or correctional settings
Comfortable working under pressure and in evolving healthcare environments
Flexibility to travel and work from various correctional sites
