ABOUT RIA HEALTH

Ria Health is on a mission to bring effective evidence-based treatment for alcohol use disorder to all Americans. Our team consists of empathetic, mission-driven professionals coming together to support the quality and availability of our national telehealth alcohol treatment program. We are seeking a Board Certified PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) to join our rapidly growing team. Ria Health, recognized as the leading national telehealth provider specializing in alcohol use disorder (AUD) treatment, recently raised $18 million in Series A funding led by SV Health Investors, LLC. This investment will fuel the expansion of our commercial partnerships with leading health plans, including Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealth Group Optum, Beacon Health Options, Highmark Health, and Magellan Health.

WORK AS A RIA HEALTH PMHNP

Ria Health clinical personnel participate in a virtual team clinic environment, working collaboratively with other departments. As a PMHNP, you will use the Ria Health platform to monitor and support members’ progress, collaborating with medical and support team members. All clinical staff, including PMHNPs, participate in weekly rounds to review case discussions and share best practices to improve outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Board Certified PMHNP, with preference for candidates who possess additional Compact State Licenses (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact). This position is 100% remote.
  • 2+ years of clinical experience, preferably with added qualifications in Addiction.
  • Technology-savvy; experience with service apps like Athenanet and Zoom.
  • Experience utilizing pharmacologic therapeutic interventions for addiction treatment.
  • Strong team player with excellent professionalism and communication skills.
  • Previous telehealth experience is desirable.
  • Secure private office setup for virtual appointments, with proper lighting, professional appearance, and direct high-speed internet.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to secure management of Protected Health Information (PHI).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and provide medication management.
  • Manage medications including prescriptions, dosages, and patient education.
  • Order and interpret lab results as necessary to inform treatment plans.
  • Monitor health outcomes and revise care plans collaboratively.
  • Manage patient appointments to meet company, clinical, and insurance requirements.
  • Perform crisis interventions and follow-ups based on clinical best practices.
  • Lead 45-minute and 20-minute video appointments with patients.
  • Four 8-hour patient-facing days (32 hours) with an additional 8 hours of administrative time weekly.
  • Communicate with members via phone, app-based messaging, and HIPAA-compliant email systems.
  • Build strong relationships with Ria members to encourage engagement and successful outcomes.
  • Provide timely prescription renewals and updates.
  • Maintain accurate and prompt documentation within Athenanet.
  • Attend required meetings including Medical Staff Meetings, Rounds, Supervision, and Town Halls.
  • Collaborate with Product and Coaching teams on program development.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA/CFR 42 Part 2 standards and all relevant regulations.
  • Actively participate in obtaining additional state licenses and credentialing as needed.
