Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Job Requirements (1099 Position):

• Active, Unencumbered State License with a Psych/Mental Health Specialty (PMHNP) in New York.
• Active, Individual DEA with address listed in New York (please note that if you intend on prescribing in multiple states, a separate DEA is required in each state).
• Minimum of 1 year experience prescribing Buprenorphine.
• A strong passion for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Job setting.

Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting patient intakes. Providers see patients after they have undergone an extensive evaluation by the counselor.
• Monitor patients’ clinical progress during regular group counseling sessions. Groups are facilitated by specialized counseling staff; providers participate by managing patient medications and answering clinical questions.
• Authorize and manage patient prescriptions during monthly visits.
